Spreadsheet Vocabulary
Rows are identifiedby numbers on
spreadsheets.
Columns are identified by
letters on spreadsheets.
A cell reference lists the
“address” of the active
cell that consists of a
column letter and a row
number.
An active cell has a
dark boarder around it.
This is where your
data will be entered.
A cell is a single “box”
on a spreadsheet. You “activate” a cell by
clicking inside the
cell.
